33 cl bottle shared two ways. Hazy golden pour with a huge frothy head. Aroma has yeasty notes, grain and sweet honey. Taste has figs, prunes, yeasty notes and some light grainy sweetness. Not as funky as expected, more like an regular triple. Since it was recently brewed I guess it will funk up a bit more as it ages up.

Bottled, 330ml (2016 version) at De Republiek, Bruges, West Flanders, Belgium. Amber with white head. There is a caramelised toffee note that dominated this beer, there is a slight tart, lemony note that pushes through cleaning the palate and delivering a higher mark, but boiled malt does lead the way here.

Funky aroma with spices, bubblegum and peach. Pours golden with rocky white foam. Taste is medium dry with barnyard, earthiness, spices and fruits. Low bitterness at the finish, high carbonation. Overall brilliant well balanced beer.

Not my favourite by Straffe Hendrik, but definitely a good one as you’d expect. Quite sour taste, not my preference, I was waiting for something in the same vein as the quadruple one but it felt more like the regular triple with few variations. Recommended if your like sour aromas, otherwise i’d stick to the regular triple and quadruple versions. APPROVED BY TAVERNY’S BLACK METAL CREW !

A wildly carbonated beer that sprays all over my son’s pirate ship, sorry about the sticky spots on Den Sorte Dame, Kaptein Sabeltann. It pours a cloudy medium amber to golden body with a huge, creamy, fully lasting head that sticks to the glass. Funky yeasty and strong aroma of barnyard, horse blanket and faint fruits including pineapple. Strong yeasty bretty flavour, also some dirty yeasty notes that are probably caused by the gushing. Also faint generic fruits and hints of spices. Light sweet taste with a light to moderate acidity and sourness, and it all ends up in a long-lasting light bitter and yeasty dirty finish. Medium body, light dry and a rather lively carbonation. The wildness rules this beer completely, there is hardly any tripel left.

Orange hazy color, with a big yellowish head. Aroma is soon and clearly of Brettanomyces yeast, with hops notes too. Taste is caramel malts, but with the clear sourness given by the yeast. Medium carbonation, dry finish. Interesting and good.

2015 Vintage
Tasted on 5/10/16 from a capped 330mL bottle purchased at Frugal. Pours clear orange-amber with an average white head that slowly recedes to average, uneven lace. The nose is typical sweet candi sugar tripel, lots of malt, along with a bit of a spicy yeast character. The flavor is the sweet candi sugar and caramel bread up front, moving to the same spicy yeast from the nose, and finishing with a combination of both. The body is full with very lively carbonation, and a long spicy and candi sugar finish.

It pours golden with a white head. A vinous nose with fruity esters, banana, spices and alcohol notes. Body is medium, carbon fine. Taste is a bit sour. Palate is dominated by caramel and spices, banana and alcohol forming a good overall balance. Dry and a bit alcoholic aftertaste. B@H

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy orange golden, with a massive, off white head. Aroma is yeast, wooden brett and roasted malts with bread as well as kandi. Medium to full body, with a mouthfilling carbonation. Flavour is tart with yeast, some funky brett, wooden notes and spices, as well as some roasted malts. Lingering tart and wooden finish.

Bottle 2015 version. Superbe triple "sauvage" complexe.
