3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Amber color with a thin lacing of white head. Aroma is hoppy, and a little doughy on the nose. Flavor is strong, somewhat astringent hops up front. It manages to be fairly balanced at the end with caramel malt, but the aftertaste is more astringent bitterness. Notes of pine throughout. I enjoyed it, but itís going to be a bit much if you donít like this style of astringent IIPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle courtesy of my friend Noel. Amber bodied with a short tan head. Aroma is strong caramel and floral hops with citrus notes and sweet malt. Very resinous as it warms. Taste is also sweet malt and caramel with resinous hops, floral hops, citrus fruit and pine. Body is medium-full and chewy with a dense bubbly carbonation. Finishes with more resinous hops, caramel, sweet malt, toasted malt and floral hops. Very big and tasty!

Bomber poured into a vintage pineapple glass -- Cloudy straw/golden color with persistent thick white head. Aroma lends itself to bitterness over late hop additions. Flavor is similar, very nice malt base with a powerful hop bitterness.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours an appetizing clear amber with a thick and frothy pale buff head. Strong aroma is very hoppy and evergreen with citrus and apple hints. Bold flavor is gorilla-strong, very hoppy, woody and piny, rather bitter; fruity hints peep through. Texture is not particularly thick, but very lively, leaving a fizzy evergreen finish. This gorilla will "naut" disappoint.

22 oz bottle. State rating #49; one to go. Crystal clear orange with a snowy white head. Nose is fresh OJ, pink grapefruit, grass and faint musk. Syrupy and resiny with a tang. Quite the mouthfull. Taste is pine, mango, toffee and grapefruit peel. Building bitterness with eucalyptus and sticky lips. Bold verging on brusque.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Cloudy golden/copper under a generous foamy white head. Aroma is fresh floral leafy with a strong grapefruity contingent. The flavor is strongly bitter with a large component of grapefruit rind and pine notes. Earthy bitterness with an earthy malt backbone. A bit too bitter and dry grapefruity for my Tastes.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a slightly cloudy, amber-golden with an ample, well-retaining antique white head. Candy hop bouquet, quickly overpowered by an alcohol-hot, thick malt nose. Pretty astringent from start to finish. Fortunately, the citrus comes through in the flavor to help balance the large alcoholic malt.
