Albert. Able. Gordo. Miss Baker. Bonny. Goliath. Between 1948 and 1961 these primate pioneers and others bravely went where no man had ever gone before, paving the way for manned U.S. spaceflight. This hoppy little monkey of a beer is a tribute to those Simian heroes of yesteryear. It has a citrusy, floral hop aroma, a strong malt body and a crisp finish.

12oz can into a pint glass. I’ve been looking forward to trying something from this brewery! Pours a hazy brownish orange with a one finger white head. Nice fluffy head has good staying power and some pretty nice lacing on the sides of the glass. Aroma has a very orange/tangerine quality mixed with an almost Belgiany yeasty spicyness. It is definitely unique but works quite well. Some bready malt comes through in the background. The flavor continues the tangeriane and orange character almost approaching a dreamsicle-like flavor. Maybe touches of cream and vanilla in there. I love the hops in this one. Some light bready malt is present to lend some balance to the hops. High bitterness that finishes with a light sticky sweetness. Overall, a very nice IPA that stands out from so many others being made by small breweries. An enjoyable beer and one to pick up should you come across it.

Fort Walton Beach can with a creepy cosmonaut monkey on it. Nice piney bitterness in the aroma. Flavor has nice bittereness but its missing some depth or complimenting flavors. Nice overall. Sweet, another Alabama tick.

Can-purchased at a liquor store in Mobile, AL jan 2014. Pours clear dark orange hue with a very fluffy eggshell head and good lacing! nose is resin, pine, metallic, lite sugar candies, Flavors are very resinous, pine, with a good sticky sweet malt base. The can i have is a few months old, however it held up fairly well. Some slight metallic and cheese notes long into the finish with lingering resin. body is fluffy with moderate carbonation. Not a bad IPA and im sure its great when fresh. Solid IPA!

Can:   Orangish straw, hazy, thin to moderate frothy white head, spotty lacing.   Candied pith and peel on the nose, a little more bitter than candied tho.   Whoa, sweet and fruity up front, then bitter, followed by the candied citrus peel.   Really surprised to see how fruity it is right up front, like POW!   Lots of candied citrus peel follows, with a soft bitterness that lingers.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Sweeter than most, not real fresh, but has a decent bitterness with the sweetness.   One of those IPAs you keep sipping to try and figure out, and before you know it, its gone.

Panama City Beach, Fl - Kwiker Liquors - 12 oz can. Hazy, medium orange pour, thick sticky khaki colored head that leaves plenty of lacing. Aroma has a strong spruce presence, some floral notes, a touch of yeast. Flavor is full-bodied with some generous citrus bitterness, a touch of orange marmalade fruitiness, some spearmint notes, a touch of biscuity maltiness and some caramel sweetness. Mouthhfeel has a nice thickness to it. Pretty solid IPA.

Initially a little sweet with some bitterness. kinda thick for my taste. hop flavor similar to nose, but a touch muted. enjoyable and will do good. wish the flavor came thru as the nosefeel suggested it would
