COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Albert. Able. Gordo. Miss Baker. Bonny. Goliath. Between 1948 and 1961 these primate pioneers and others bravely went where no man had ever gone before, paving the way for manned U.S. spaceflight. This hoppy little monkey of a beer is a tribute to those Simian heroes of yesteryear. It has a citrusy, floral hop aroma, a strong malt body and a crisp finish.

Aroma - surprised by the lack of hop aroma. Definitely a piney around there, but I get more malty, bread/toast/caramel aromas Appearance - nice pale copper with a thick white head Taste - initial light bitterness ; finishes lightly sweet and lightly bitter Mouthfeel - very light bodied, slightly sticky Overall: really surprised by the lack of hip presence in this beer

Can. Poured a hazy copper, with a large off white head. Nose is sweet bread and citrus malt. Taste is heavily malt with some citrus and pine hops. Body is medium and smooth. Finish is lightly bitter. Overall a bit more malty than I was expecting. Sweetness was also a little more than expected. A fair IPA.

Reddish pour from 12oz can at Villagio in Orange beach. White sticky head. Malty as hell. Aroma is almost carmel popcorn. Sweet. Bitter. Butter. Dank fruits. Interesting as hell. Grows on you

Just okay IPA. Copper colored. Lots of resin and pine in the aroma. Just a little citrus. Body was malty, caramel, and resinous. Pretty nondescript.

Tap at Hop City. Pours hazy orange with white head. Aroma of citrus and hops. Flavor citrus and bitter hops with a hint of caramel. Light bodied. Not too shabby.

Slightly hazy copper pour with a big white head. Nice lacing. Sweet citrus aroma with orange, tangerine and pink grapefruit. Flavor is overwhelmingly a mix of orange and grapefruit juice. Sweet, fruity and acidic with a full mouthfeel. Finish is firm bitterness. I would say it’s overly aggressive in most IPAs, but it works great with the sweet fruit and full mouthfeel. Sweetness is not a caramel overdose. It blends in well with the hops. Nice beer. I’d be happy to be able to grab a sixer of this on a regular basis.

Poured from a can, big thanks to Bryan. The hops have fafed in the aroma and it lets the caramel malts shine a bit bright for me. The malts are dominating the flavor, there is some citrus, and floral hop notes. Not the freshest example.
