COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Albert. Able. Gordo. Miss Baker. Bonny. Goliath. Between 1948 and 1961 these primate pioneers and others bravely went where no man had ever gone before, paving the way for manned U.S. spaceflight. This hoppy little monkey of a beer is a tribute to those Simian heroes of yesteryear. It has a citrusy, floral hop aroma, a strong malt body and a crisp finish.

Solid IPA. Smooth, slight citrus. Not too malty. I enjoy this, and even at 7% it makes a good session IPA.

FROM NOTES: July 11, ’12 Poured from a 12 ounce can into a pint glass. A: Strong citrus hop note and some grassy hop notes as well. A: Pours a golden orange with a nice white cap and minimal lacing. T: Caramel malt hosted by floral and citrus notes, light booze and hop bite to remind you it is an IPA. Something is giving this a sort of sweet yeast taste that reminds me of a weak Belgian yeast or something..... fascinating. P: Medium body with moderate carbonation and a creamy mouth-feel. O: A very interesting IPA and better than average. Can art might even make it a great IPA....

Drank from the can whilst golfing. Aroma is mostly medium malt, some citrus, a little bit of floral hop profile coming through. Taste is where the hops come through. Pretty resiny/piney with some lemon and grapefruit. Malt holds up really well to the hops. Medium/high carbonation and good body. Really like the after taste too.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2013 Pous a clear, deep golden color with a short-lived antique white head. Rich malty and perfumy citrus nose. Smooth and wet, but finishes a little cottony. Extraordinarily perfumy, floral, and citrusy flavors with an adequate malt backbone.

Draught at the Straight to Ale Taproom, Huntsville, AL. Clear reddish golden colour with a small white head. Sweet and fruity hops, mild bitterness and some sweet maltiness in the aroma. The flavour is sweet fruity, tea-like, moderately bitter and sweet caramel malty. Tasty. Quite nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On draft at the nook. Poured a nice deep amber with a thin head (maybe a touch to cold). Nice bite with a hint of the abv showing through. A solid IPA... Goes well with the jambalaya!

Poured from a can. Copper color with a big, white head. Faint aroma of pine and vegetables? Does not taste great. Weird taste that I cannot put my finger on. Would not drink again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This is my second time trying this brew, but the first time I remembered to take notes. Pours a darker shade of amber than expected. Scent is grassy with a touch of citrus. The beer starts bitter and earthy and finishes sweet. Perhaps a touch to earthy. Mouthfeel was very enjoyable. Can - Kwiker Liquors - Panama City Beach, FL

Can thanks to Jim. Copper pour with a white head. Grassy hops, caramel, toffee, and dates. A bit vegetal, some pine, and mild citrus. Flavor is sweet caramel, toffee, and fruit. Dates, citrus, grass, and an herbal, bitter finish.
