COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Albert. Able. Gordo. Miss Baker. Bonny. Goliath. Between 1948 and 1961 these primate pioneers and others bravely went where no man had ever gone before, paving the way for manned U.S. spaceflight. This hoppy little monkey of a beer is a tribute to those Simian heroes of yesteryear. It has a citrusy, floral hop aroma, a strong malt body and a crisp finish.

Amber colored pour. Big white head that falls a little bit quickly. Plenty of lacing. A slight burnt malt aroma with some citrus notes and caramel. Taste is a malt and hop combo. Slightly bitter underneath the nice malt sweetness. Pretty tasty.

This is a phenomenal beer or maybe just right in my wheelhouse. The hops are huge, packing a tremendous amount of flavor. The malt is tuned to provide maximum depth, reigning in bitterness slightly without competing with hop flavor. Gravity is also tuned to facilitate the most lush expression. There is a lot going on in the finish as well. This is where sappy evergreen goodness says hello while malt sweetness surfaces. This beer is in 4D.

Clear orange with white head. Aroma is light orange. Taste is overly bitter. Not something I will order again.

12 oz. can compliments of jbruner. Decent aroma of floral hops. Smooth and drinkable IPA. Great lawn mower beer. Not a standout, but a solid example and true to style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz can, pours copper with a small white head. Slightly oily, thick texture. Nose is pine, hops, very nice! Great example of the style.

Clear copper with a large beige head. Aroma of caramel, flowers, and citrus. Taste is malt forward, but still has a nice hop presence. Good IPA.

Pours a clear copper from the can with bubbly cream head that dissipates to leave moderate lacing. Aroma of fresh citrus and grassy hops and caramel malt. Taste follows with a funky fresh hop character and a hint of metallic bitterness. Pretty solid IPA.

12 ounce can courtesy of Suttree. Thanks! Pours a hazy copper with a large creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toffee malts with some floral, herbal hops. The taste is herbal, earthy hops with dry toffee malts. Medium bodied. A little muddled, but solid.

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2013 12 ounce can courtesy of Suttree. Canned on 02/07/2013.  The pour is a hazed orange copper with an inch and a half light tan head. The aroma is orange citrus hops, a bit of floral and a nice toasty malt. The taste is the orange resin hop along with the toasted malt, nice balance between the two flavors, though the taste was not quite as bright as the aroma. The palate is medium bodied with active carbonation and a dry resin finish. Would love to try this fresh on draft - the hops were great in the nose, though lacked some pop in the flavor.
