COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Albert. Able. Gordo. Miss Baker. Bonny. Goliath. Between 1948 and 1961 these primate pioneers and others bravely went where no man had ever gone before, paving the way for manned U.S. spaceflight. This hoppy little monkey of a beer is a tribute to those Simian heroes of yesteryear. It has a citrusy, floral hop aroma, a strong malt body and a crisp finish.

12 oz. can pour: Pours a clear deep copperish/amber color with a medium off-white head that is mostly lasting with nice lacing. Has a floral hoppy aroma with hints of citrus and pine. Citrusy, hoppy flavor starts sweet and finishes with a nice refreshing, bitter bite. A well done IPA.

Cool packaging and label. Beer itself is pleasantly hopped. Nice floral nose. Very easy to drink. Alcohol being over 7% was a big surprise to me. I couldn’t taste it at all. I would have guesses 5 to low sixes. Well done and easy to drink. Well see if I can get more.

Can from bleeng. Thanks, Rick!
Pours an average cheddar orange with a nose of grapefruit and pineapple. Flavor is coppery grapefruit, coppery orange rind, and a touch of piney pineapple in the finish. Average mouthfeel. Not bad.

12oz can, no date but told it was around 2 weeks old. Served at around 40F.

Pours lightly hazy amber with a huge foamy off-white head that eventually recedes to a small foamy cap and leaves some clumpy lacing behind. Had to pour this in multiple stages due to the excessive carbonation/head.

Aroma is a big citrus blast, mostly orange, sweet pink grapefruit, a bit floral and piney, some yeasty/bready and caramel notes as well. Very good strength.

Flavor is strong citrus hops, orange, tangerine and grapefruit, some pine, a bit of caramel/bready malt in the middle offering just a bit of sweetness, finishes with strong bitterness and a tiny bit of alcohol. Malt picks up a bit as it warms.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied, a bit oily, very sharp, strong carbonation.

Very nice IPA. Extremely citrusy which I love. The yeasty notes in the aroma and extreme carbonation knock it down a peg, but still very enjoyable overall.

Sweet, fruity apa aroma with a touch of vanilla or chocolate.  Almost clear, if not, hard to tell in a frosty pint.  A bit candied, not hugely bitter, woody, tannic, well-balanced with some cakes qualities.  Medium heavy, pithy body.  Long hoppy finish with some cocoa and alcohol bitterness in the aftertaste.   Enjoyable, and not over the top.  Mellow Mushroom, Auburn.

Lots of tropical fruit, sweet and citrusy. This was very light, alcohol tasted around the 3s, but low and behold it’s in the 7s. Sampled at the second annual East Nashville Beerfest.

Tap. Clear, deep golden amber with a rich, earthy aroma. Full, strong flavor just slightly bitter with a mild sour orange taste; but slightly sweet at the same time. A bit hoppy. Effervescent and full in the mouth. Nice aftertaste. Holds up well to spicy food. Very nice beer.

Draft at the Pine Bar. Pours amber/orange with thin, bubbly white head. Aroma of light floral notes. Taste has strange bite not from the hops. Maybe skunky. Would like to try again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
