thebeertourist (1764), Oslo, Norway Jul 12, 2008 Bottle. Cloudy amber with a small head. Sugar cane and rye bread aroma. Citric flavours mixed with spicy rye bread. A bit hard on the tongue with noticeable alcohol.
jerohen (1465), Bussum, Netherlands Aug 16, 2008 Bottled at home. Beer gushed out after opening. Extremely cloudy appearence, dark orange/honey coloured, small head. Yeasty nose, citrus, spices and alcohol. Bitter and sour flavour, some malts, yeasty. Alcoholic finish. Thin mouthfeel. Nice name, poor beer. JorisPPattyn (4262), Antwerpen, Belgium Jun 12, 2008 Gushing to rather small, irregular off-white head over fully hazy amber beer with a pinkish glow. End of bottle near solid yeast. Floral, garden herbs, wormwood nose, hint at alcohol. Sweet-spicy flavours, again garden herbs. Factory (thin) waffles, if not so sweet. Bread retronasal. Rather well-bodied, very slick, as wheat slickness, maybe even a bit oily, palate neutral. Nothing is wrong, little is really interesting. BartC (238), Lichtaart, Belgium Apr 22, 2008 Hazy beer with a yellow to orange color. Small white head. A lot of citrus in the nose. Seems like a lot of American hops (Cascade?) was used for dry-hopping. A fresh citrusflavor as well. Nice strong bitterness. Dry bitter finish. Wim (734), Turnhout, Belgium Oct 30, 2007 cloudy amber coloured body with a little off white head a strange malty aroma and a herby malty taste anda average special sweet bitter finich nice special beer
