On tap, beer no.8 at the RBESG blind tasting (Modry Abbe, Klatovy)
Poured a brownish dark amber body, a bit like bronze and a medium-small thick white head. A nice oily hop in the nose, with some maltiness. Malt, coffee, caramel, alcohol and weak hop in the taste. Not a perfect vienna, but it was nice to have it after 6 pilseners in a row.

UPDATED: JUL 19, 2013 On tap at Strakonice castle. Big offwhite head. Clear amber to brown colour. Aroma caramel, light light coffee. Taste is medium bitter, a bit metallic tart, light sweet, caramel, roasted. Finish light metallic bitter. Drinkability almost medium, served a bit overcarbonated. This is the best I had from Dudák sortiment during my Strakonice visit.

[tap at blind tasting at Modrý Abbé in Klatovy] A bit of toast and biscuit aroma with considerable noble hops. Bright walnut with an almost white, lacy cover. Flavour is a bit biscuity with some sweet malt and nice hops flavour. Moderate bitterness. Also a bit nutty. Medium body, moderate carbonation, almost clean.

Dark off-white persistent head. Clear amber-caramel body. Vague lacings. Fruity scents and taste with caramel, plums, prunes, notes of butter, hops under, influenced by dark bread. Palate is clean, fruity and normal. Good body, hints of rubber. Finishes sweet but also hops are still present in a fruity low-bitter way. Plums, grass, bread, caramel. Sceptic to half-dark beers? Not after tasting this one. [33cl br btl abv5%, @Hotel Bílá růže (White Rose) Strakonice CZ]
