Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, riped fruit, sweet fruit, sugar, moderate alcohol. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light alcoholic.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On cask at the 2012 NWAF, Manchester. Pours a brown colour with a thin, light tan head. Aroma is absolutely lovely with higher alcohols, raisins, candy sugar, plums and alcohol. Similar flavours with a dry finish and a long alcohol hum. Mild carbonation and an oily mouth-feel. One of my beers of the festival.

Cask Stillage at The Venue, Miles Platting 22/01/2011
Big fruit aroma. Amber coloured very strong in alcohol and fruity with a little sour apple flavour. A hint of dryness in a very bitter finish.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Cask at NWAF, 2011. Deep amber pour with no head. Slightly sour nose, a bit of toffee, medicinal. Sweet toffee and pear flavours. Warm, sweet and sticky finish. Back to the drawing board with this one I think.
