3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasted this at Strands, Nether Wasdale on 1st September 2014. Cask, handpump dispense. Crystal clear pale amber in colour with a thin white head. Sweet note of caramel present in the short malty aroma. Thin mouthfeel and good lacing throughout. Pale malt leads to a digestive biscuit base with tart gooseberry fruit evident in the mouth. Dry grass and pine sap noted in the thin resiny aftertaste. Finish is malty with sweet fruit notes of kiwi present. This is a decent session Golden Ale and I preferred this in comparison to the fans favourite Errmmm.
