3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the brewery. Poured a hazy coppper-yellow color with a tight white head that faded to a thin layer. Aroma of honey, bread, a soft fruitiness, and a faint hoppiness. Smooth, light honey sweetness quickly moves into a grassy hoppiness with a soft spiciness that is paired with some alcohol that lingers into the finish. Light carbonation and smooth mouth feel with a slight bite from the hops.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing.
Body is light to medium amber.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain/bread), lightly hoppy (flowers), with a light note of honey.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Very shy nose that doesn’t say much, but what’s there seems clean and pleasant, just wish it wasn’t a struggle to smell anything (and this from a small brandy snifter). Which is sad because I’m getting melanoidins out of it, if only it were more than a whisper this could be dreamy. Similarly the flavor balance is decent but not very flavorful; only a few steps away from bland, which is odd for this style. Flabby mouthfeel doesn’t work either. Close but no cigar.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bomber. Bready malt aroma with notes of grass and light caramel. Pours amber colored with a thin white head with good retention and some lacing. Starts with bready malt flavors with a little bit of grass. Finishes smooth with caramel sweetness and some light hoppiness. Decent bock, but not the best.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Clear golden with a thin laceful cap head. Malty aroma of toast...and little else. Flavor was of boozy lager yeast, dry toast, and dough. Sure this isn’t a doppelbock? It’s really bready and boozy. Would be awesome of I were trying to be a monk.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap @ Strange. Clear pale yellow with white head. Floral grassy somewhat spicy scent. Drinks slightly sour at first then rounds out with bready malts, yeast, and a hint of grassy hops. Smooth with medium mouthfeel and perfect for spring, alcohol well hidden, crisp clean finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear yellow pour with thin white head on tap at the brewery, aroma brought notes of crackery and biscuit malts, slight floral, grassy hops in there with a touch of spice and an earthy quality. Taste is fairly clean, hints of floral and grassy hops going into a big sweet but tasty biscuit and crackery middle, touch of earth and spice notes finishes fairly clean.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear gold pour - nose of honey, lightly herbal hops, a little bit of butter - flavor is medium sweet, with very lightly grassy noble hop character - a bit of floral and herbal notes - a little bit of a buttery note on the tail end - surprisingly subtle for this brewer - I like it.
