onceblind (4112) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 12, 2012
Clear dark brown with a foamy off-white head. Lovely aroma of chocolate chip biscuits (if there ever were such a thing) and light grassiness. Taste was nice and clean with a crisp start, full of light chocolatiness, biscuits, bready yeast, and light toast. Clean light grassy bitterness on the finish, not enough to take away from the sweet dark biscuitiness.

Clear brown color, tan head. Roasted, malty, mineral, dry taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Malty, roasted scent.

Tap @ Strange. Reddish, brown, transparent appearance with a small, light brown head. Pretty toasty malty, light caramel aroma with a hint of nuts. Fairly sweet, rich malty, caramel, light chocolate flavor. A bit watery. I haven’t been impressed by these guys German beers.

On tap at Strange Brewing poured a clear reddish brown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of toffee, tobacco and earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of toffee, carmel, tobacco and a hint of fruittiness with a crisp dry malty finish.

arminjewell (6217) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 18, 2012
Pour on tap at the brewery, dark reddish brown pour with thin slightly off white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toasted bread, hints of biscuit, spice notes and some earthy grass. Taste was slightly sweet and bitter, nice caramel, nutty notes with a cocoa, earth, and bitter grass finished fairly dry. Pretty nice mix of flavors.
