Sample at GABF 10/13/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. Brownish-black color with a medium khaki head and short strings of lacing. Aroma of malt and nutmeg. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt and subtle pumpkin. The finish is roasty with a short chocolate malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Pours a dark brown. Medium to low pumpkin or spice aroma. More porter than pumpkin. A little gourd taste lingers at the back. Enjoyable as a porter only.

Very dark brown with an off-white head. Very strong aroma of nutmeg, pumpkin pie, sweet light chocolate, more pumpkin pie, and a subtle graham cracker tone. Unfortunately the flavor falls short of the aroma. There’s too much pumpkin pie spice like cinnamon and nutmeg, with a sweet dark roastiness and earthy pumpkin tone. But too much spice.

Dark brown with almost no head and zero lacing. Full bodied, but a bit flat. Could use some more carbonation. Very nice pumpkin spice and dark roast aromas. Same for the flavor plus some light cocoa. Pumpkin flesh not apparent in my opinion, but a nice beer-even handed with the spice and dry. A little more carbonation and some earthy pumpkin flesh in the flavor and this would become a really good pumpkin beer in my book.

Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish black pour with creamy tan head, aroma brought big notes of fleshy pumpkin, caramel, toffee, some chocolate and roasty notes, slight hints of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg but not over the top, smells nice! Taste is a nice mix of dark fleshy and toasted pumpkin, some sweet caramel, hints of chocolate, roast to dry it out, nice mix of spice and earthy tones, finishing fairly sweet.

Dry, roasty aroma. Deep orange, dark amber color. Moderately full body, with pumpkin, spice and coffee notes. I feel it could use more pumpkin and spice flavor.

On tap at Strange Brewing poured a clear dark brown with a lasting tan heads. Aromas of cocoa, carmel, pumpkin and light spice. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of cocoa, carmel, pumpkin and light spice with a smooth lingering cocoa finish.
