Dry, roasty aroma. Deep orange, dark amber color. Moderately full body, with pumpkin, spice and coffee notes. I feel it could use more pumpkin and spice flavor.

Bomber. Very spicy aroma with nutmeg, cinnamon and clove spices and roasted malt, chocolate and very subtle pumpkin. Pours dark brown with one finger of light brown head with excellent retention but not lacing. Starts with a little bit of pumpkin flavor as well as chocolate and roasted malt. Finishes smooth but a little dry with all of the aforementioned spices with a bit ginger as well. Decent, but the flavors are a bit muddled.

651 ml. bottle. 5.5% ABV per the breweries web-site. Pours a medium, well retained, beige head, over a clear dark brown (SRM 35) body.......nose is chocolate, coffee, from the roasted malts, cinnamon, ginger, pumpkin from the additives, minimal hops......taste is dark roasted malts, with coffee, lighter chocolate, slight sweetness, cinnamon, ginger, pumpkin, hints of vanilla, finishing with a mild hop roasted malt bitterness.....mouth feel, light of medium body, no alcohol, light carbonation. The pumpkin and attendant spices were relatively lightly used, so the dark roasted malts were dominant. This is a pleasant, but not particularly interesting beer. BJCP 7/3/13/4/6

Pour at Strange. Aroma of cinnamon and pumpkin. Very watery and thin mouth with little in the way of pumpkin or malt. Very muddled. Ehh...

Dark brown in color with a light pumpkin flavor. Rich thick and chocolate. I was wanting more pumpkin flavor.

Sample at GABF 10/13/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. Brownish-black color with a medium khaki head and short strings of lacing. Aroma of malt and nutmeg. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt and subtle pumpkin. The finish is roasty with a short chocolate malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Pours a dark brown. Medium to low pumpkin or spice aroma. More porter than pumpkin. A little gourd taste lingers at the back. Enjoyable as a porter only.

Very dark brown with an off-white head. Very strong aroma of nutmeg, pumpkin pie, sweet light chocolate, more pumpkin pie, and a subtle graham cracker tone. Unfortunately the flavor falls short of the aroma. There’s too much pumpkin pie spice like cinnamon and nutmeg, with a sweet dark roastiness and earthy pumpkin tone. But too much spice.

Dark brown with almost no head and zero lacing. Full bodied, but a bit flat. Could use some more carbonation. Very nice pumpkin spice and dark roast aromas. Same for the flavor plus some light cocoa. Pumpkin flesh not apparent in my opinion, but a nice beer-even handed with the spice and dry. A little more carbonation and some earthy pumpkin flesh in the flavor and this would become a really good pumpkin beer in my book.
