On hand at Denver Summer Brew Fest 2012. Semi hazy dark brown with a lovely schwarz aroma of dark chocolate, roasty dark grains, and toast with toffee on it. Taste is a little light, but the flavor has some sweet chocolaty tones, black grains, and a light roasty graininess.

On tap at the brewery in Denver, CO. Pours a mostly clear, deep brownish black with a nice red hue. Aroma is light roasts and a touch of earth that blends well with a clean, lightly sweetened caramel and pale malt. Hints of chocolate and lager yeast. Flavor is similar. Light chocolate notes and a touch of caramel with a smooth maltiness balanced well with a light roast and earth. Finishes clean and smooth with just a light bitterness before leaving a fairly lengthy aftertaste. Light body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid Schwarzbier. Really clean and easy drinking with a light malt sweetness balanced well with a light roast and earth. Impressed.
