shintriad (697), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Mar 14, 2008 Very bready nose and flavour. A classic whole-grain bread vibe to this. Clear, crisp, dry, very smooth, muted, but with a fresh and fantastic smell. I was impressed by this sample. VeloVampire (400), Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 20, 2008 Updated: Mar 31, 2008Draught at Cloak & Dagger - came a dark copper with a good sized whitish head. Really clean malty aroma, slightly grainy, with some grassiness as well. Delicious rich flavour, thick and full-bodied, sweet and silky, with a nice bitter biting hoppy finish. Excellent local lager - hope this becomes a more widely available (bottled?) product. Stratford’s best offering thus far. jerc (3210), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 23, 2007
Draft @ Cafe Volo. Crisp yellow body with a small white head. (3+) Floral noble hops in the aroma. Pleasant moderate bitterness throughout, light pale malt foundation.(6+) Average palate. Pretty solid pilsener, and closer to style than their other offering, but its not a style that does much for me. 7/3+/6+/3/13 MrManning (1448), London, Ontario, Canada Apr 14, 2008 On tap at Alex P Keaton- Tapped a deep copper/amber liquid, pouring a frothy beige cap. Nose is quite malty. Lots of caramel and cookie dough. Some bubblegum too. Sweet grainy flavour with rye bread, caramel malts, some toffee and vanilla. The finish starts out sweet and leads to a marked bitterness to round it out. pretty nice. GregClow (2345), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 14, 2007 Draught sample at C’est What’s 2007 Fall Festival of Craft Breweries. Slightly hazy golden with a very small head. Aroma of grain and herbal hops. Body is quite soft, with little carbonation. Flavour of faint fruity malt and herbal, slightly skunky (but in a good way) hops. Comparable to some of the mid-range canned Euro pilsners that take up so much shelf space at the LCBO.
