Draught at Cloak & Dagger - came a dark copper with a good sized whitish head. Really clean malty aroma, slightly grainy, with some grassiness as well. Delicious rich flavour, thick and full-bodied, sweet and silky, with a nice bitter biting hoppy finish. Excellent local lager - hope this becomes a more widely available (bottled?) product. Stratford’s best offering thus far.

Apr 14, 2008 On tap at Alex P Keaton- Tapped a deep copper/amber liquid, pouring a frothy beige cap. Nose is quite malty. Lots of caramel and cookie dough. Some bubblegum too. Sweet grainy flavour with rye bread, caramel malts, some toffee and vanilla. The finish starts out sweet and leads to a marked bitterness to round it out. pretty nice.

Mar 14, 2008 Very bready nose and flavour. A classic whole-grain bread vibe to this. Clear, crisp, dry, very smooth, muted, but with a fresh and fantastic smell. I was impressed by this sample.

Doughy yeast continues in flavour with a light fruity background and a faintly funky finish. Light-medium body. Nice and refreshing if served cold. (6/2/6/3/12) 2.9
[779C-20071021] Cask @ Volo Cask Days 2007 (Toronto, ON). Burnt wood and apple skin aroma with a bit of maple sweetness. Clear, yellow brown body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Toasted yeast flavour is a little burnt. Light-medium body. Interesting, not bad. (6/3/6/2/12) 2.9

I tried this beer on October 17, 2007 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto. It was on tap. The beer was a translucent gold colour with a loose white head. The aroma was a combination of hops, grass, and a little malt. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with some mild carbonation. The flavour was very pleasant with some malty tones and a little grain.
