Pours a nice golden colour, that’s actually somewhat hazy, with a large, quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is very sweet, malty, with a nice floral background. The taste is very sweet, biscuity malts with a lemony hop presenece (but the lemony taste actually somewhat adds to the sweetness). Not as much bread doughiness as I was hoping. The aftertaste is again very sweet and malty, but with a touch of corn. This is a pilsner more than anything else, a very lemony/citrusy one. Not bad, enjoyable, just not exactly what I was expecting. I really wanted to like this beer, but it was a bit of a let down. It tastes almost like lemon juice mixed with beer. And it looks like it too, because it’s pretty murky yellow. Too bad. mephisto (1144), Taiwan

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 5, 2007 Golden colour, dissipating white coloured head, some light lacing. The aroma is of floral hops, grassy, some bready malts and lemon citrus. The flavour is of bready and cookie malts, lemon zest, herbal hops, grainy. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes with a lingering crisp bitterness. Clean tasting, refreshing pils.

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jan 24, 2007 341ml bottle - well, I didn’t pour this beer into a glass, I drank it from the bottle at a party, so for that rating I just took the average. I will re-rate next time I have this, though I don’t know when that will be because I wasn’t all that impressed by it. Smells (from the bottle) very sweetly malty, with hay and corn and some hops in the background. Flavour is similarly sweet, with unfortunately little of the sharp, crisp taste of the best Pilseners, and almost no bitterness, in the finish or otherwise. Makes me think...this needs more hop presence. It’s too malty and a bit cloying and off-balance. Not in the upper-class of Ontario Pils, with both King and even Steam Whistle much further ahead. Uninspiring. tomthompson89 (1494), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 21, 2007 Updated: Jul 25, 2007341 ml bottle - pours a pale yellow, with almost a greenish tinge to it, kind of hay like. Medium white head dissipates fairly quickly. Sweet, mainly malt aroma, some corn and a few hops way in the background. Flavour much the same, with a dry finish that lingers in the back of the throat. Decent, but with the pilsners available here, it’s one of the last ones I would choose, especially with the superb pils that local brewer King produces, which is much more true to style. daboskabouter (1470), Fergus, Ontario, Canada
