Cloudy amber beer with a light citrus aroma. Taste is similar. Lightly hopped and an almost smoky edge to it. Nothing special but drinkable.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Cask @ JDW Muckle Cross, Elgin
Golden amber, clear, quite dense white head with some lacing
Aroma - pale malts, touch of hay, pale fruits, bit musty
Taste - pale malts, touch of honey, hint of rubber, soft old pale fruits, not a great flavour
Palate - soft carb, quite oily. Finish - some bitterness, bit metallic, odd plastic note
Overall - Well this wasn’t good...it isn’t an amber ale...is a golden ale/bitter

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
50cl bottle. Pours amber to copper with steady bubbles and a nicely proportioned head. The nose has toffee, biscuits and a grassy/herby note. The taste has ginger biscuits and toffee. The palate is medium in structure and texture with a tangy and fairly refreshing finish. Overall, a decemt ale which I would describe as a bitter rather than an amber ale.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at Cloisters. Golden Amber with a white head. Notes of fresh green apple and a little floral hops. Thin on the palate. Not enough going on. Not a bitter either.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tasted this in the Salt Cot, Saltcoats (JDW) in August 2009. Cask, handpump dispense. Crystal clear pale amber in colour with a thick creamy white head which disappeared to a thin loose head in minutes. Strong fruity aroma with honeydew melon and fresh mown grass, long in intensity. Thin but refreshing mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a fruity note of kiwi, lychees and tart gooseberry. Thin hop resins give a dusty bitter lemony aftertaste. Finish is citrusy with grapefruit pith present in the palate. A refreshing summer session Amber ale and well recommended.
