A well balanced dark mild with a rich chocolate aroma. A blend of American hops give this ale a subtle lingering orange zest aftertaste.

Gravity cask at the London Drinker BF 2014. Pours brown with a frothy tan head. Good snout with notes of dry cocoa and milk chocolate. Light sweet flavor with mild roasted malt character, further milk chocolate, slight earth, dried berries, chalky cocoa. Light bodied with fine carbonation; great condition. Balanced finish, more cocoa, roast, slight charcoal. Nicely balanced beer. Never gets too big for its britches.

Lovely sweet roasted aroma. Black, loose head. Chocolate in the taste, and leaches over to the aroma once youíve spotted it. Also burnt and a bit beany. Full palate, great for a sub-4% beer. Finish fills the mouth nicely with a lovely roast. Milky and roasty. Yum!

Bottle. Itís a clear-looking dark brown beer with a reddish tint. A beige head sits on top. The aroma is lighlty roasted, with some cigar hints, dried fruits and a sourish note. Itís more or less full-bodied, quite dry and with a pleasant carbonation level. The flavor has roasted malts, dried fruits and some chocolate hints, and a little bitterness in the end. Itís also lightly sourish, almost berry-like. Not my favorite in any way. 121110
