Drank with Stegosaurus and Beereded_one at Newton brew fest. Absolutely horrible. Watery corn flavor and ultra thin.

Pretty decent for a cheap beer and something I would buy more often if the price was right.

Clear straw color with a medium thin white head with fair retention. Minimal lacing. Aroma of light grassy hops and a hint of malt. Light-bodied and crisp at first but becomes watery right away. Mild grassy hops flavor, along with a bit of sweet malt. The finish is carbonated with very little flavor aside from a touch of hops. Although boring, it is decent for a Light beer.

As "Ground Hog Brew". Sharp beany hops and gaseous carbon dioxide aroma. Light, but no skunkiness. Pale straw clear color, with wispy white head. Light bodied, crisp, with medium-heavy carbonation. Carbonic tingle the whole time you drink it. Mild flavors. Decent sweetness but not much malt character. OK hops but more carbonic acidity than anything. Beany after. For a light beer, itís actually pretty good. Certainly fresh and itís clean and crisp at the finish. Wouldnít want to drink it all night, but it was refreshing.

I love Straub Beer. I am always a little dissapointed when I get this beer. It has little to no aroma and pours a pale yellow. Very watered down (but much more flavour than your average American lights). For a hot summers day, I would pick this, but not the better of Straubís beers.

(draft @ "The Eternal Tap," Straub Brewery - St. Maryís, PA) They added a second tap to the Eternal Tap this year, so we had to have some of it. Straw yellow pour with lots of white foam. Dry and grainy aroma with a little bitterness underneath it all. Taste is dry and grainy as well, but very smooth. Finish is smooth and watery. One of the more full-bodied and enjoyable light beers Iíve ever had, but I still prefer the original Straub. Go and take the tour! Visit the gift shop! Itís worth it.

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2006 Pours light, pale yellow, with a white head. Aroma is kind of weird with grain, and some malt. Flavor is somewhat sweet, with grain and some hops. Iíd still rather drink this than BMC light beers.

Pours pale yellow/gold, with a white head. Aromas are grain and malt. Flavors are grain and hops, with some malt. All in all, a pretty good light beer. I rather drink this than most other light beers.

Draft... GBOA í06... Clear straw-colored lager with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. Almost nondescript nose and flavor, but I do pick up some soapy, grainy notes with plenty of diacetyl to go around. Ultra light-bodied and fizzy. Short, crisp, clean finish. Better than Straub Premium only because itís more watered-down and, therefore, has fewer offensive flavors and aromas.

On draft at the Newtown Brewfest. Pours pale yellow with a white head. Aroma of grain and corn. The flavor is weak, grainy, and corn. Thin body, crap brew.
