Bomber from Ledgers. Label states 6.5%, so Imperial? Pours dark ruddy brown with a slight beige head. Aroma of roasted malt with a hint of cacao. Med body or better. Flavor is roasted malt, some chocolate residue, and something bitter. It’s fairly dry drinking for an amber, and the result is decently bitter. Decent drink.

A - Pours an almost clear copper-brown color with a thin finger of frothy slightly off-white head. The head fades down fairly quickly leaving behind some light lace.
S - Aroma is a mix of sweet toasted and lightly caramelized malts, a bit of bready flavor, and a hint of pine hop.
T - Starts off with a mix of sweet lightly caramelized malts with some light bready flavor and a hint of yeast character. Through the middle, a touch of pine hop comes through with some more caramel malts. The finish is a mix of caramelized malts, pine hop, and a touch of yeast character and a bit metallic.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a sweet finish.
D - Very drinkable. Pretty good red ale, not all that imperial. Good malty backbone.
