22oz. bottle at a recent bottle share – reviewed from notes. Aroma is rather mild, with really subdued pine and earth. The malt presence definitely shows itself, with sweet caramel and cracker. Pours cloudy orange with faint head and minimal retention. Taste is caramel, light graininess, some floral hops, grass, with a hint of pine. Not too much going on here. Body is medium with medium-low carbonation. Finish is rather astringent with lingering soapy bitterness and sweet malt. Overall a pretty malty IPA with an odd bitterness on the finish. The hop aroma is not very complex and the malt presence takes over in every aspect.

Clear amber color with ivory head. Citrusy, dried flower, pale malt aromas. Hoppy bitter pine, citrus flavors with a solid pale malt base__drying finish--good.

22 oz. bomber from Safeway in San Jose, CA. Crystal clear yellow/orange with a soda-like white head. Catty, cut grass hop aromas that follow into the taste along with grapefruit, pith and thistle bitterness that’s quite astringent. The body is a bit thin and watery. There’s barely enough malt sweetness here to balance all the bitterness, but it’s good if you’re just going for a hop rush. Finishes with a tongue scraping bitterness that lasts long after the sip is over.

I have been passing this up for a couple of years. Shame on me. This is good beer. Has a real nice bitterness to it. Red/orange color. Got it at Costco for $3. Great lace. Hoppy caramel roasty. Nice feel to it. Boy the bitterness really stands out. I liked it.

Bottle from Capitol Beer, Sacramento. Pours cloudy amber with a rich white head and a citrus aroma. There is a medium-bodied pale malt flavor with a bitter finish.

The predominant aroma is biscuit and some caramel. There is a hint of orange in the background. Pours a hazy, deep-gold/copper with a full white head that lingers well. The head blankets the beer and is composed of mostly tight, small bubbles. The flavor is more balanced to the malt than the hops, with a chewy bread-like grain and caramel. Hop flavors are mostly pine. Moderately strong bitterness leads to a semi-dry finish. A little bit of earthy or dust in the flavor as well. As it warmed, some citrus flavor from the hops slightly shows itself.

Bomber poured a clear orange amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of biscuit, carmel, earthiness and citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, grapefruit and light lemon zest with a smooth dry bitter lingering citrus finish.

Bomber from Beer Revolution. Pours light golden amber with a 3 finger foamy off-white head. Aroma of caramel and floral. Med body. The flavor is very hoppy - floral/earthy/citrus. Malt almost gets lost. It finishes dry and quite bitter. The claimed 5.9% ABV, 89 IBU is very believable.
