AROMA: fruity with hoppy overtones, strong smell of spruce
APPEARANCE: amber, clear, minimal head, white foam,

OVERALL: ok attempt at a Belgian dubbel, has not got the body and too much overtones in spruce and hop.

Dark copper, clear, no head
Aroma - red berry fruits
Taste - red berry fruits, soft yeast esters, some caramel toffee malts, slight bready yeast, fruity caramel
Palate - very little carb, thinnish body, quite oily. Finish as main flavour, touch of alcohol, bit too thin
Overall - Quite a tasty ale but it was too thin

Keg at Holyrood. Reddish orange copper, thin white head fades to nothing. Sweet candy fruits, soft caramel, dry honeyish thing going on on the nose. Soft malty sweet front, quickly overtaken by dry earthy hop flavours. Touch of roast, light resin, soft dry malt finish. Not bad, not great.

UPDATED: JAN 16, 2012 Bottle, Coppers, Ncl. Bubblegum sweet, reddy-brown ale, with some nice subtle smokiness right at the end. Moreish, subtle alcohol, very rounded, Belgian yeast and spices in there, enjoying this more as I get through it

14th January 2012 Very hazy amber beer with a thin white head. Dry semi crisp palate. Dry sweet toffeeish malt. A little spice and a whisper of bubblegum. Alcohol evaporating dryness in the finish. Too dry and a little too one dimensional.
