Cask gravity at Reading BF 09. Also known as No. 2 stout. One of the best beers of the first day. Black, big lasting tan head. Very roasty aroma. Very roasted overall. I liked it. Good fullness, lovely dark choc and I would happily recommend this to any Raterbeerian

Cask at GBBF ’13, 15/08/13 thanks to Ronny for the pour. Light black/v dark mahogony brown with a thinnish light tan head that clears to a swirl/edgeing. Nose is dark toffee, light smoke, mineral notes, light chocolate. Taste comprises cardboard, light smoke, dark toffee, thinner than the aroma. Light to medium in body, a little on the watery side. So so stout affair.

Cask conditioned at Birmingham Beer Fest ’11. Black with cream head. I found this beer to be fairly sweetish initially, thick enough with a heavy, fruity body. Some charcoal pushes itself through. It’s ok.
