COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full-bodied American lager unlike most, Stroh’s beer sports a craft brew pedigree. Enriched with hop varieties usually found only in craft brews, Stroh’s lager offers a distinct and distinguished taste with a preponderance of Cascade and Willamette hops from the great Northwest. Pungent and pleasing, Stroh’s stands apart from the usual lager taste profile in flavor, but not in alcohol.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2012 A cheap beer I used to drink in college. About as high quality as the can its in. The tab breaks off about 50% of the time leaving the beer unopened

Can. Pale yellow color. Not much aroma or head. It is what it is, if you don't have high expectations you will end up mildly surprise. Pretty decent but simple beer. For $1 a can, it's a good deal. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a corn yellow. Aroma is light and slightly bitter. Flavor is light...what flavor is there isnt bad. Im surprisingly impressed. This is quite smooth and drinkable. Good for the price.

355ml can pours a pale straw color with a small white head that leaves no lacing. Aroma is light malts and faint hops. Taste is light malty sweet and hoppy bitterness that leaves little to be desired. Typical American macro lager, not recommended.

12 oz. can. Pours a thin white head, over a clear yellow (SRM 3) body.....nose is cereal, hints of corn, hints of sweetness....taste is cereal, light hops, dry throughout, with a light hop bitter finish...mouth feel light, carbonation high. This is typical of the style, light, uninteresting. BJCP 5/2/8/4/4

I don’t care what all the beer snobs say. I like this beer for what it is. I don’t expect too much, so I don’t get disappointed. I’ve drank a LOT of Stroh’s over the years, and NO, it isn’t the same as it was in its heyday, but it’s still very drinkable. It gets you where you wanna be, without being trendy or mass-produced/advertised.

Can at Reggie’s. Another old school, granddad brand to add to the numbers. Same generic pale gold. Nose is much fainter, but has that ’beer’ aroma to it. Some corn, but not much. On tasting, clean and easy to drink. Not a lot going on, but not bad at all.

Can at a concert after an oracle, it was only 3 bucks, not worth that but wth, it is not any worse than the other macros.

Originally rated August 2006. Bought a 15-pack of this at The Beer Store. Says Strohs Canada on the can, but that is just another name for Sleeman. Pours a pale yellow colour with a big white head that disappears real fast, with no lace. The nose goes from fresh malt, to alcohol, to then sweet malt. Slight creaminess to the mouhtfeel and carbonation is lively. The taste is mild, with a mixture of grain malt, corn and very light bitterness. Nothing really sticks out... except for the huge headache these other cans gave me last night.

A friend of mine offered me this beer at his house this past weekend. I didn’t know we could buy this beer in PA. I remember drinking this beer when I was younger, say 20 years ago. It was a very popular beer, thanks to Alex the dog competing against Spuds Mackenzie. I don’t think they advertise it as a “Fire Brewed Beer” anymore. I believe the taste is different. However, one worth drinking on hot summer grass cutting days.
