cheapdark (1526), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 6, 2008 Updated: Jul 9, 2008I am very surprised i have not rated this beer yet, it is an old time favorite from the days of my youth. my dad used to buy it allot when I was about 18-21 and we used to get it for free because of that. Has a good clean beer aroma, with a little of that corny smell in there but it is not offensive at all. This is from a 16 oz can that cost me 60 cents. Decent clean lager flavor with very little perceivable negative attributes. Not bad for a session beer, goes down easy on a hot summer day. No bitterness per se. Good friendly fun and easy to slug, not bad for a cheap beer. I think it still has some of that old stroh character that I remember way back then when it was a separate brewery. Finish is acceptable and gentleman~like. not bad, glad I finally bought a case, it’s been a long time! I guess strohs light is next, heheheh. KAggie97 (1855), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Jul 2, 2008 Pours anemic yellow with the smell of old grandpa sweat. Average mouthfeel for a beer that tastes like old people- stale, musty, and bitter. Ugh. daknole (531), Plantation, Florida, USA Jun 11, 2008 Another in the long line of piss beers from big ass American brewers. Nasty. The worst part of this beer is the stank aroma. RAYBOY01 (1556), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jun 4, 2008 Not absolutely awful...some extremely light caramel malt and even lighter hop bitterness. but minus a lot of the corny adjunct flavors of some of the worst macro lagers. Odyn (130), USA May 22, 2008 A drinkable cheapie. Flavor has sort of a bitterness about it. Finishes cleanly. Not something for all day, since it seems to indicate a headache waiting to happen, but sort of whta I imagine all those macros in the 1950s were putting out. Laverne & Shirley anyone?
