3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 AndySnow (1199) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 9, 2013
Draught at Ardbeg Embassy, Stockholm. Black colour with a brown head. Aroma is of course heavy with peats seeing that it is Ardbeg inspired. More of a whisky smokey aroma than the normal smoked beer aroma. Flavour has the same peated tone to it. A subtle whisky peat.

Rather sweet flavour. Liquorice, leather and peat. Salty salmiak as well.

Draught at Ardbeg Embassy on November 14, 2012. Very dark brown to black color, fluffy lasting brown head. Peaty, smoke, whisky like nice scent. Peat, sweet, smoke, mineral, a bit cloying taste. Difficult to drink fast or a lot of. Medium mouthfeel, medium high dry bitterness. Salty aftertaste.

Draught@Ardbeg Embassy, Stockholm. Pitch black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is like havingardbeg in your glass, heavy peated smoke, wood, some mild smoked wood in it as well. Flavour is rather similar with a big peater aftertaste. Good sipper instead of having multiple session beers.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 Frovigalning (2028) - Örebro, SWEDEN - OCT 12, 2012
On tap at Ardbeg in Stockholm. Very strong smell, smoke, peat. Sour taste with a strong smokiness and some soap. No this was to smokey and sour for me. We where three guys sharing the glass and we couldn’t finish it.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Marduk (1266) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 10, 2012
Tap @Ardbeg Embassy. Pitch black color, small tan head. Heavy peat smoke, roast, malty, full of oak, whisky, bit of rubber in aroma. Very strong oak, peat, heavy roast, some smokyness, mild whisky in flavor. Oily texture.
It’s a hard beer to drink, but in the same time very addictive. Perfect beer in a rainy October evening.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 FatPhil (7510) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 9, 2012
Tap (Ardbeg Embassy, Stockholm)
A beautiful whisky aroma - Islay peat obviously, nice and smoky, and it wouldn’t take a genius to place it in Ardbeg. Full palate, crisp carbonation. Heavy peaty taste, dry, dry, dry. A bit lacking in beer, dominated by the somewhat harsh burnt roast and dry peat. Maybe too harsh and off balance.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 tiong (2243) - Espoo, FINLAND - OCT 7, 2012
Draught @ Ardbeg Embassy, Stockholm
Originally rated on 05.10.2012 - Pours pitch black with a tiny brown head. Aroma of whisky, smoke, ash, peat and hints of roasted malts. Taste is really heavy on islay whisky notes and peat. Hints of vanilla, roasted malts and sweet whisky Finish is sweetish and heavy on roasty notes. A bit unbalanced, too heavy on the whisky notes.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 VsXsV (1225) - Linköping, SWEDEN - SEP 27, 2012
Draught at Ardbeg Embassy, Stockholm. Clear, deep brown/black liquid with medium light tan head. Aroma is extremely smoky with notes of peat, sausage, wood, birch, fire and more smoke. Some toasty, biscuity malt as well. Taste is dry and light to medium bitter with notes of smoke, peat and a little malt. Not as smoke as the aroma. Medium bodied with light to medium carbonation. Very smoky, but not bad. Probably excellent if you’re into smoky stuff.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 womencantsail (6902) - Garbage Grove, California, USA - SEP 25, 2012
Almost black in color with a tall khaki head. Intense smokiness, almost like a combination of a BBQ and camp fire. A touch of wood, salt, and nuts. Sweet toffee and toasted bread with a lot of roasted malt as well. The flavor is a bit more balanced, but still intensely smokey. Roasted malt, smoke, a bit of meat, salt, and burnt wood. A lot of toffee and molasses sweetness with some bitter chocolate in the background.
