UPDATED: MAR 2, 2009 Too much carbonation, metallic, I guess there’s some apple but the aftertaste is nasty and harsh. Saw many people drinking this while in england, no wonder the country is going to the dogs....

Bottle. Clear with the aroma of apple cider. Crisp flavor with a slight tartness mixed with the sweetness of the apple.

Pretty run of the mill cider - it’s mass produced and easy to find. Nothing to say about it that we haven’t heard before.

Can. Pours a clear amber with a bit of a white head that falls off to just wisps rather quickly. A little bit of apples, wine esters and hints of champagne yeast. Slightly thin body, again reminiscent of cheap sparkling wine, with monstrously large cola sized bubbles. Finishes crisp and fairly dry. I don’t get much apple on here.

Blah. A boring cider. Aroma was weak and near nothing. Light apple with the alcohol being stronger (only 5%). Pour was an OK medium gold with a thin off white ring for a head. Taste was very watery. There is only a slight apple flavor with the good strong carbonation overpowering it. I don’t drink ciders that often but this is one of the worst that I’ve had.

Served up at Hang Fire, a small, local dive bar in Savannah, Georgia. Appearance: Pours a crystalline, yellow body with no real head despite an enthusiastic pour. Smell: Vaguely sweetish scent of boiled apples, stems and all. Taste: Exceedingly simple apple flavor with a curiously artificial-feeling sweetness to it. Very juice box-esque. Dash of sulfites. Finishes right about the time you become disheartened at the absence of character and overall lack of flavor. Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Far from a superior cider, but if your angle is to find carbonated, easy to drink, alcoholic apple juice then this should be right up your alley.

On tap at Novare Res. Well this was a mistake. I had the Etienne Dupont and figured all ciders would be that good. Not so much, this is just like apple juice, no flavor to it at all. Not a drain pour, and it’s drinkable, but where’s the complexity here? How am i supposed to remember this drink?!
