Can / pint consumed constantly throughout my entire 20s. I shudder to think how much of this stuff has passed my lips. To me, Strongbow is the taste of train journeys to Wolverhampton & Birmingham to see bands; itís the taste of standing in a muddy field at festivals with a smuggled can in my hand standing in awe at the stage; itís the taste of late nights watching shitty TV and listening to great music with mates; itís train journeys of disappointment coming back from away matches; itís the taste of lying on my back in beer gardens slowly letting the sun & cider send me into a deep sleep. Whether itís good or not is irrelevant at this point.. like a perfume that suddenly reminds you how it felt to be a teenager. For that reason, despite how hideous it tastes alongside real cider, Iíll always have a soft spot for this stuff.

Appearance: Clear deep golden color with a small bubbly white head.
Aroma: Mild acidic apple.
Palate: Medium body. Tad sweet and oily. Average carbonation. A bit dry texture.
Taste: Pleasant mild acidic apple.
Overall impression: One of my favourite ciders. Especially at summer with ice cubes.
Personal stats: Bottle from Systembolaget in StrŲmstad, Sweden.

12oz bottle. Pours a pale amber color with average carbonation. Apple aroma with perhaps a slight touch of cinnamon. Straightforward apple flavor. Light bodied with slightly tart finish. Pretty average, but drinkable.

Mass produced but far from the worst cider on the market. Wet, cold, fizzy and apple(y). A thirst quencher and nothing more.

First tasted on draft in England in 1994, thereafter was my go-to cider when available in US, though more from nostalgia than from its quality. Recent retaste confirms this is a below average cider. Pours golden with no head, high carbonation. Sweet apple taste has a definite manufactured tone.

Hardly any aroma. Very fizzy, clear and crisp looking with a slight head. A refreshing apply taste and fizzy on the palate.
