2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 jpm30 (1587) - East Central, Georgia, USA - MAR 20, 2007
From a 500 ml. can with a freshness stamped on the bottom of can, sampled at cellar temperature in a pint glass.
Poured a clear pink golden hue with a fizzy, bubbly white that quickly settled in to a fine tiny bubble lace.
Aromas of apple juice with alcohol, flour and a light sweet spice.
Light, steady carbonation and a crisp, dry tart, smooth medium bodied mouthfeel.
Passable taste, has a frozen concentrate apple juice quality, softly tart with a sugary sweetness, a subtle sulfur alcohol, and a dry, watery apple juice finish, pretty clean in the aftertaste.
In the world of apple ciders, this is a old standby for many people, so I won’t judge it too harshly, can be found on tap at a couple of area bars, but compared to what is brewed at a brewpub in Fort Madison, Iowa and at a few local apple groves, this comes off quite bland and watery tasting.

Can at Good Dog bar....pale yellow in the dark bar...dry and crisp...easy to slurp out of the 16.9 oz can...I could drink this all day...:)
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 ABUSEDGOAT (1937) - California, USA - MAR 10, 2007
Pale yellow with NO head foam at all. Absolutely terrible looking. Aroma is apples and some acidity. Flavor is the same, light bodied and somewhat offensive. Not my thing.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 rmussman (1321) - California, USA - MAR 5, 2007
A true cider. Nothing else I have found in the states can compare. Everything that you would want in a non-cloudy cider. Dangerous after the third, and hangovers are likely.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 hayduke (2445) - Eureka, California, USA - FEB 26, 2007
Purchased from North Coast Coop in Eureka, CA. 12 oz bottle. Poured a very clear light yellow with small head that was gone in seconds. Nose of apples. Flavor of apples but there seems to be other fruits there as well. Has a crisp finish. Mouthfeel fairly nice.. Actually nice to drink and the best cider I have seen.

For a cider, this is my favorite. Not too sweet, as many ciders are, this more like an apple beer than anything. Very easy to drink and smooth. Like the previous rater said, nice for a change of pace. You don’t feel as dirty drinking it at 9am, and you can drink several cans after a good beer session earlier in the day/evening. At 5.0%, it does the job eventually. A classic all-around staple that should be in everyone’s refrigerator.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 RCL (2025) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 21, 2007
Solid cider, if not terribly exciting. Nice for a change of pace from beer. It’s a bit thin, but I think that’s by design.
