(Bottle 0.33l ) Clear strw colour. Small to medium sized, moderate fast fallinf, fizzy head. Light body, a bit sticky texture, moderate carbonation. Aroma: Artifical, apple candys, sweet apple juice, soft notes of apple skins. Taste: Medium to strong sweetness, white sugar, caramel, apple candys. Taste like fizzy apple drink, definitely not like cider.

Too bad the reformulation opted to this very sweet result. The dryness of the former product, in my mind, was a particular style of cider. If Heineken want to appeal to the masses, simply add this "golden apple" or "gold" variety. Enough on this. The sweetness is not extreme, but at the same time it appeal to those with more of a "juice-box" pallet. The good news is that there are other dry ciders out there.

.33l bottle in Belgrade. As ’Gold Apple’. Quite pale, a little more dry than Carling. Still sweet, pulpy apple body. Very commercial.

12 oz. bottle from Old Town. My friend from London has always told me that Strongbow is "What 12 year old girls drink in the park." That always made me chuckle. It seems this is not normal Strongbow, but the gold apple variety; it also seems this is made in Belgium (and not England). Bummer. Anyway... Aroma: Ultra sweet green candied apple juice. Definitely some tartness in tow. Appearance: Poured a pale gold color with soft carbonation; a foamy white cap quickly dissipates into a ring. Flavor: Not as candy sweet as the nose, but also not much else going on but apple juice sweetness; the finish doesn’t really dry up much, and lingers on a bit. Palate: Light body, slick texture, soft carbonation, long finish. Overall: Wondering if this comes in two liter plastic bottles. Definitely bottom shelf material.

(can 0,25l) My first cider rating.
Aroma: Apple juice, sweet, light wine.
Appearance: Clear yellow color. No head.
Taste: Apple juice, very sweet.
Palate: Sticky texture. Fizzy carbonation. Light sweet, dry finish.
Overall: Not bad, too sweet. I’d rather stick with the beer.
