COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Danish: En Quadruple Mashed Imperial Stout.

Fantastic aromas of coffee beans, dark chocolate, smoke & motor oil. It smells like diesel power. It’s black as hell with a nice little creamy brown head. The taste is very bitter but smooth packed into some nice and elegant sweetness. It’s like smoking a big Havana while you eat an chocolate cake from one of the best chocolatiers in the world. This is a masterpiece.

Bottle. Midnight black, leaves an oily coating on the glass. Extremely sweet taste, but still well balanced.

On tap at Crowbar. Almost black with a light brown head. Complex roasted coffee aroma with iodine and salt. Sweet chocolate, iodine, marzipane, you name it. Alcohol. Full-bodied. The ultimate night-cap. Not for the faint-hearted.

On tap at Ølfestival 2012. A black one, topped by a dense, finger-thick, dark tan head. The aroma has loads and loads of coffee and chocolate, as well as roasted malts and a generous dose of caramel sauce. There’s a nice bitterness in the flavor, both of the hoppy kind and of the roasted kind. Else, it’s quite sweet, so it needs the hopping. Roasted malts, caramel sauce and lots of chocolate and coffee. Full-bodied, creamy and lightly warming. Just freakin’ lovely. 120512

Very strong dense aroma, nucleus of malt, salty licorice, roasted coffee, sweet and slightly bitter. Black.. really black, no head. Really sweet, sugary not just caramel. Soft, full body, dessert beer. Liked a lot.

Sample at ÖÖWF 2012. Sweet smell of malt and syrup. Very sweet taste with burned sugar, malt and syrup. Extremely sweet beer, the liquid is very thick and black and left a thick brown coating on the side of the glass. Nice to sip at, but I would never be able to drink more then a couple of cl.

Sample at Malmö Öl & Whiskyfestival 2013. Black as the darkest night with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, ash, peat and alcohol. Taste of whisky, wood, some alcohol, roasted malt and some dark chocolate. Complex with a big body and long aftertaste. Excellent!
