A dry Imperial Stout brewed with rye malt and lot of american hops.

gyllenbock (5598) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAY 5, 2015
Bottle from Kihoskh, bought during CBC 2015 and consumed in room 1014 at Radisson Royal Hotel. Black with a small tan head. Bitter with ash, roasted malt, coffee, licorice and some dark bread. Sweet and with a full body. The finish was long and with some warming alcohol.

Holmen1 (3281) - Stavanger, NORWAY - MAR 28, 2015
Flaske (aug.13, bb. aug-18), delt med Einar i påskeferien-15: svart med tett skum som gir fine kniplinger. Torvrøkt whisky, kreosot og kaffe i aroma. Rugsyrlig smak med mørkbrent kaffe, vanilje og 80%-sjokolade. Tørr, brent ettersmak. Deilig, fet lakris mot slutten, når temperaturen hadde steget.

Bottle. Pours a pitch black with a medium brown head. Aroma is smokey, ashy malts, cowpoo, old old coffee, salmiak, leather. Taste has a lot of the same notes, which adds up in a very bitter, slight salty taste. Full body and low carb. Not very good, but not particularly bad either. It just don’t really work out.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with no head. Very little aroma, even if you try and snort the beer. Very roasted, bitter and dry. A little bit of liqurice. Quite flat and low carbonation. Not overly interesting.

Good beer with an aroma resin with a lot of alcohol but it isn´t exagerate. I recomend with red meet good sausage, haunt meet and string river fish.

Bottle at home. Black with a light brown head, ok lacings. Aroma medium malty (roasted, dark chocolate, coffee, smoke) and hoppy (citrusy). Flavor medium sweet and bitter. Medium body, soft carbonated.

UPDATED: FEB 16, 2015 Bottle. Pours dark brown, nearly black with tiny small regular brown head. Aroma is roasty and dark chocolate, coffee, some citric espresso and hint of sweet smoke, sausage? Taste is medium sweet and really dry and bitter roasty finish. Some caramel, chocolate and slight dark fruits. Coffee. Boozy.

Bottle @ døe øldommer smagning. Almost pitch black, small tan head, some lacing. Nice coating. Aroma, roasted malts, liquorice, smoke, dark chocolate, alcohol, stable, . Taste, roasted malts, smoke, liquorice, dark chocolate, dark fruits, alcohol, . Quite boozy.
