COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Opaque black - brown beer. Good pale tan head. Smooth palate with a little fine carbonation. Very very tangy dark malt, bordering sour. No roast or bitterness. A little chocolate and a whisper of emulsion paint. Tangy dark fruits - prune identifiable. Mild coffee. Smooth tangy finish with mellow coffee in the aftertaste. Nice porter, a bit different.

500ml bottle. Pours almost black, with a brown head. Roasted, spicy aroma, chocolate, coffee, wood (?), vanilla, smoke, ashes, honey, hops, tobacco. Off-dry, full bodied, medium bitterness, balanced CO2. Spicy, quite robust taste, sour notes, roasted malt, oak, tannins, ashes, yeast. Finishes quite rough, with a weird taste of old, slightly infected, oak. (2012-04-23)
