2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 4/20
A strong and heavy aroma of coffee beans. The taste is of much alcohol, just right with coffee, a little sweetness but a good bitterness that does not become too dry. A bitterness that lies down on top of the tongue. Still very akolhol flavor in the aftertaste. This beer does not have to be this strong. I think that is as beer weakness. 4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
330ml bottle with an unusual wax sealed bottle cap, poured into a snifter. Appearance is nearly opaque brownish black with a small creamy mocha colored head. Aroma has a strong presence of coffee, dark chocolate, raisins, muscovado, roasted malts and syrup loaf. Taste is medium bitter with a medium light sweetness. Palate is full bodied with a thick somewhat sticky texture and soft carbonation. An extreme Imperial Stout by all means, striking espresso flavour and a considerable 17.5% ABV, that adds warmth but is well masked. I enjoyed this and would recommend this beer for espresso lovers.

@ Havregatan (ett par hus bort!). Flaska från Systembolaget (95:-). Väldigt mycket nymalt kaffe i både doften och smaken, espressotoner, det finns även lite lakrits där.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The most stupid brewery name ever
Brewed Nov 2013, bb Nov 2018
Pitch black color with medium sized brownish head, not very persistent. The aroma is peppery and pungent, this is a quality; but the coffee, strong, reminds a bit the coffee grounds, not completely exciting; roasted malt too of course; hint of aniseed and elderflower. Full bodied; strong flavor of roasted malt and coffee; but the rather important sweetness and strong alcohol presence help to keep this fragile balance; the coffee in the final is a bit more elegant than in the nose.
I’m not sure this is the kind of elephant-in-a-china-shop I want, but it’s pretty good sipper anyway.
I think of a coffee chocolate truffle.
