Bottle 250ml. @ home.

Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, grain, hay, cereal, toasted, paper. Flavor is moderate sweet and light light bitter with a average to long duration, metalic, light sour malt. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. [20101010]

Sort of the beer that wasn’t quite there, and by far the least interesting beer at RESTO in NY tonight. No real nose. Pours a pale straw, small white head. No real taste either, lightly hopped with Saaz, no malt backbone. I guess I was not surprised to learn it was low alcohol, since it’s low everything else too;

(Bottled, BBE 08/2006!) Clear, paleish golden with a medium, foamy and lacy head. Very mild aroma with some acidic maltiness, but no hops (might be because of its age). Quite bad and unclean, cardboardy and metallic flavor with the unwanted properties from both NA and Tafelbiers. Light to medium-bodied with medium carbonation. At almost a year after its BBE date, what else would you expect from a 2.1% pils... I wish the Bier Tempel at Brussels would clean up their shelves from expired stuff every now and then!

Very carbonated at first, colour of old gold, under medium but dense yellow head. Buttery, possibly DMS, oh, and what you call skunked. I fear this bottle has been under the limelights of the shop. Strange grainy, short acidity as from a dash of lemon, and then again skunky, with a slight bitterish, faintly metallic finish. Flavour of old, watered-down cider. Very carbonated, fizzy. Ruined beer, I’m afraid.

Bottle. Clear golden colour. Very small white head. Bready flavour with a slightly metallic bitterness. Thin, but swelling mouthfeel. Resembles many other low alcohol pilsners.
