BoBoChamp (1226), Gent, Belgium Jun 2, 2009 33cl, exclusive brewfirm, from Willems Grobbendonk, not complex brew, not balanced, cloudy, small head, nothing special, needs to be revised MoritzF (4510), Ruhrpott, Germany May 2, 2009 (33cl bottle) Slightly hazy, amber colour with a big and light-beige foamy head. MesandSim (4998), London, Greater London, England Sep 23, 2007 A Mes rate:
33cl bottle from Kris Wines. Clear deep amber with a thin white film. Yeasty and spicy aroma with a little grain and burnt malt. Very slight lick of alcohol too. Flavour not so good. Perfumey and sickly, artificially sweet and possibly some diacetyl. Spicy yeasty finish. No balance and maybe a little over carbed. Pretty poor. thebeertourist (2459), Oslo, Norway Jul 20, 2007 Bottle. Big off-white head on top of the clear, amber beer. Perfumy and strangely sharp and unpleasant herbal aroma. Sweet, herbal flavours. Cute name, named after De Haan tram station, but the beer has unfortunately derailed. diabel (1320), Aarschot, Belgium Nov 19, 2006 Bottled at Weekend der Belgische Bieren, Hasselt, Belgium Sparkling, amber body. Off-white head. Quite bad, yeasty aroma. Moderately sweet flavour with some bitterness. Has some bad infected flavours. The infection is not really distroying the flavour, but it ain’t good either. The sweetness beats the infection quite well. JorisPPattyn (4908), Antwerpen, Belgium Nov 12, 2006 Good amberish ehad, receding over clear straw-amber beer. Toasted malts, grain, and a bit perfumey. Diacetyl, buttery, and an aroma of old, unaerated rooms. Old Flanders which I’d love to see gone. The diacetyl makes up for all the body & MF. Rubbish.
