3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Keg @ Borefts 2012. The pour’s deep gold with a massive white head. The nose is spicy wood, some caramel, sharp herbal hop and marmalade. Yeasty. The taste is more herbs, some boozy barrel, marmalade and white chocolate. Caramel and hints of pepper. Medium body, smooth for the ABV. Nice collaboration.

Pours dark orange with a foamy white head. Aroma of ripe fruits, wood, malts, vanilla, oak and hops. Taste is rxtremely fruity with notes of wood, oak, vanilla, bourbon and syrup, hints of sourness and tart fruits. Sweet, sugary finish with hints of vanilla, wood and oak, hints of tartness. Okay, a bit too sweet for my taste.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Big white head, changes slowly into a small white lacing on top of an almost clear orange colored beer.
Smell lovely mix of Lambic with a barrel aged IPA: cellar, stone, hops, wild yeast, flowers, wood.
Taste hops, flowers, fruits, peach, wild yeast, flowers, wood, cream, light bitter another nice effort, lovely.
Aftertaste is a nice mix of flowers, yeast and stone and wood.
Low to medium carbo, soft mouthfeel, full body and a creamy texture.
Smooth, creamy, nice deep and well balanced.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sample @ Stockholm Beer & Whisky 2012. Pours tiny hazy pale golden with a very small white head that doesn’t leave much trace while dissipating. Smell is tiny sweet, spicy and perfume-like with biscuits, dry wood, cookie dough, dry soil, vanilla fudge, white pepper and hints of bourbon. Taste is sweet, bitter, spicy and herbal with biscuits, bourbon, crackers, vanilla fudge, dry wood, lemon peal, orange peal and white pepper. Mouthfeel is tiny soft, slightly astringent and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with cookie dough, hay, white pepper, tangerines and orange peal marmalade. Not for me...

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft @ BBF’12
Hazy amber, light beige head. More like an IPA Saison hybrid if you ask me. Only some very distant Barley Wine notes like vanilla and bourbon. Barnyard, hop and some funkiness are more clearly present. Medium dry.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap @ BBF 12.
Pour hazy copper, with a large white head. Aroma is of slight lemon peel, herbs, slight caramel, lemongrass. Feels like something is a bit off.
The taste is pretty bitter, and rather spiced. (?)
Average body, with a slightly fizzy carbonation.
... Not my cop of tea.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. A dense, two-finger, off-white head sits on top of a clear, golden body. The aroma has some typical Belgian ale notes, with white sugar and fruityness, but it’s the piney and resiny hops that do most of the work. The flavor has a nice bitterness stretching out for quite a while, as well as sugary sweetness, pine cones and resins. Full body, a bit low on carbonation. Not a very impressive one, but sure drinkable and tasteful. 120511
