bottled. Murky, cloudy, & off amber. Nose is Belgian with a tad? of hops. Textbook Belgie huge piling head. Bitter, yes oh yes, but astringent too with a biscuity palate. I believe the 130IBUs, but I never would have guessed 100+ It’s slightly sweet but never cloying. A nice hybrid.

Nice double. Deep darker and dirtier than most. Tastes raw and organic. Smooth with big bitterness. Small Belgian nose and flavor. A lot of dust in the bottle is right up my alley.

(33cl bottle from Chez Clem, Nantes) Pours a hazy dark amber with good (tan) head formation, retention and beautiful lace. Aroma is jammy, apricot marmelade hops with some biscuity notes of malt and hints of belgian yeast notes that add to the fruitiness. Full-bodied, soft carbonation, oily texture, bitter finish. Flavour has moderate sweeteess upfront followed by the bittering hops. Alcohol is very well masked.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice murky amber colour, looks like a real beer. Complex aroma of honey, orange, fresh bread. Big grapefruit bitter bite in the taste, touch of sweetness but not much. Aftertaste goes on forever. Serious beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma of malt, some mild citrusy hops and candi-sugar. Hops come out in the flavor more distinctly as well as a roasted note within the malt profile. It is big, malty, hoppy and it even has a long bitter finish. Lots of levels of flavor here.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours alloy orange with off-white, almost tan, two-finger head. A robust looking beer. Aroma is very piney, with some alcohol and hints of citrus and strawberry. Palate is wonderful, small bubbles create a velvety mouth-feel. Taste is predominantly pine with some grassy hops and a balanced bitterness also some sweet caramel-malt. Beautifully rounded beer.
