3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 JEK69 (359) - FRANCE - MAY 21, 2013
Pours cloudy orange with almost no foam.
Citrus, tropical fruit and a kind of belgian yeast character that makes it unique i.e. somewhere between Boogoop and Raging Bitch.
Body is medium oily.
Butterscotch and a hoppy finish.
Huge bitterness in aftertaste.
I love it!

ZBF Festival 2013 - Cloudy, dark orange appearance. Aroma is quite fruity and hoppy with some caramelised peach in there. Taste is quite sticky and fruity. There’s a little tropical fruit and some bitter orange. Low carbonation, smooth, thick, juicy, light acidity.

shared bottled poured a dark cloudy orange color with white head. initial aroma is big citrus hop and booze. not quite an oily texture but does leave decent lacing on the glass. i honestly thought the flavor would be ultra bitter and i was very suprised as to how smooth this was. this is a bit warm but i get strong citrus and floral hops leaning more towards the floral. there is almost a thickness to the flavor that coats the tongue. this is a heavy bodied beer that will boost your senses. thanks for the share M.

Tasted in a De Struise tulip glass poured from the bottle.
Hops! Best Belgian IPA I’ve had by far. Aroma of hops and Belgian candy. string but not over powering hop flavor. finishes sweet and a little dry. Love it. very drinkable. Great beer from De Struise. Was even better on tap at the brewery from a fresh barrel!

I like the picture on the bottle. Dark brown pour. Big head with decent retention. Mid body. Caramel up front, some raisin with slight citrus and a dry hoppy finish. Good Belgian IPA with all of that potent flavour that you expect from Struise.
