BOTTLE 33CL. Look: dark amber and clear (with yeast sediment) and a big light tan creamy head with good retention. Aroma: quite hoppy, citrus/orange, tropical fruit, some pine too, but a rich malty base too. Later, gains some acid/astringent notes. Taste: a nice bleand of toast, malt sweetness/caramel and hops, strong but pleasant bitterness.

Though, the params (IBU/ABV) are a bit scary, it is pretty drinkable and well balanced.

Very hoppy beer with a malty body and a very dry and bitter aftertaste. Some distant fruits, but mostly hops.

Murky mahogany with on finger dense creamy head that leaves good lacing. Sweet malty aroma with Belgian notes, yest and hops, alcohol prominent, dark ripe fruits, raisins. Lots of malty taste, medium body but quite full feel, soft carbonation but hops and alcohol balance malty sweetness, long tasty finish. Tasty and nuanced, enjoyed.

On draft at Global Brew. $15 for a pint. Some red in the hue and some haze. This beer had some serious bitterness and it was pervasive. Interesting fruit notes reminded me of cactus. It was sugary and had something like candied fruit. Toward the finish I tasted rye and the final few sips seemed to offer oatmeal. Interesting but I was kind of happy to see the bottom of the glass.

Draft. Pours copper, small tan head, minimal retention/lace. Aroma of toffee, caramel, citrus, light ester. Taste is quite sweet, lightly bitter, toffee, apple, caramel. Palate is slick, lightly cloying, light bitter and sweet finish. Seems to have lost all hop character over the Atlantic.

Sampled from keg. Hazy orange colored body. Medium blond head. Aroma of apricot and peach, and something reminiscent of candied fruits. Some sweet toasted malts to back it up. Taste is sweet malty, almost sugary. Lots of fruity and resiny bittering hops to balance. Medium to full body. Smooth and oily in the mouth. Lasting bitter-sweet ending. A sweethart.

Looks nice. Good lacing and pretty layer of foam. Nose and taste a little weird. Kinda light pine and also something like watermelon in the back palate. But not the worst.

Draft in a sampler at Ei8ht Ball. Struise version. Pours a clear amber-orange color with a small white head that settles into a lasting ring. Aroma of sweat, toasted sugar, caramel, citrus fruits, and grass - a bit restrained, leaning maltier. Flavor of caramel and toasted malts, wet leaves, grass, hay, citrus, and floral notes. Medium-bodied, with a bitter, earthy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Flavor redeems the sub-par aromatics, but it’s a decent DIPA.
