(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, dark amber colour with a beige and short foamy head. Yeasty, slightly biscuity malty aroma with resiny, spicy, mildly fruity and slightly sweaty hops. Moderately sweet flavour with a bitter counterpart, surprisingly medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Biscuity and slightly juicy (cara-)malty taste with loads of drying, spicy and resiny hops, accompanied by mildly fruity, peachy spots; bitter-sweet rounded malty and resiny spicy hoppy finish. Well-crafted brew. 04.XI.13

Poured from a 32oz growler from Perfect Pour in Maryland. Only size growler for this very finely brewed libation. Not an overwhelming aroma. Nice amber red color with a full thick Belgium head. Very balanced taste for such a highly rated IBU. Thought I’d have to really pucker up but not so much. Overall a very satisfying drink that can be saved for special times with special friends.

Imperial ipa. Color rosso arancione. Bel cappello di schiuma. Ben carbonata. Retrogusto di caramello ma palato amarissimo. Finale ancora piu amaro ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

33cl bottle from allmyvinyl. Appearance - cloudy amber with a nice orange hue and a lovely creamy head. Nose - biscuits and citrus. Taste - oranges and biscuits. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy but tangy texture and a nice dry finish which makes you want to drink more. Overall - a lovely complex but balanced beer.

Poured a hazy dark amber with a frothy, dense off white head. Aroma of zesty floral hops. Medium body, flavour of bitter pine, some pineapple, underlying caramel malt with a bitter sweet finish.

Bottle sample at the tasting. Pours a orange-amber with a off-white head. Aroma of wet carton and hops. Taste - sweet, with malts, citrus and spices, very bitter hoppy finish, alcohol is noticeable. Medium body, well carbonated. I guess not fresh as it should have been.

330 ml bottle from Beercity.be. Coppery golden color, white head, low to medium carbonation. Medium body, hazy as expected. Aroma mas very belgian like, some fruity notes, pineapple and stuff bit with a really nice dose of cartamel!! The taste was pure caramel sweet at first with a little hint of chocolate if you try really hard (thx to KyotoLetty who mentioned it), with all the bitterness coming as aftertaste, but not easy to understand what is what. After all it’s nearly 300 IBUs, but feels a lot lower. The alcohol is by no means absent, biting the edge of the tongue sometimes. A nice belgian-style IPA, which should have been a little more on the hoppy-floral side, in my (hop-head to the bone) opinion.
