enjoying this whenever i go to the kulminator, but i also had a chance to drink it at antwaerps bierhuyske when they found half a crate of it. and on draft in the struise shop (bruges) , and de kelk ( bruges as well) so many places, cause man i do like this beer ! i’m not totaly into IPA’s like everyone seems to be these days, but when i do drink one, this one’s my preferance ! first of all, once and for all, struise, you guys are gods with your artwork ! black damnations, shark pants, ... definetley the cooles belgium prints i’ve seen so far! same can be said for 3 floyds ( dark lord, zombie dust,...) so as it should be, the colaboration is as well magnificent. moving on to the beer than. i drank this as first beer by the name of 3 floyds, they nhav’nt caught up to this one so far. refreshing, the pureness of the bitterness and the quantity of hops used,... you know this aint a beer you wanna drink specificley. but when you DO drink it, it ALWAYS tastes great, and i havent had that with any beer so far. hmn.. writing this makes my thirsty for one ....

Pours amber with a finger of off white head. Smells of hops and honey suckle. Tastes of hops, sweet on the front end and hops explosion on the back end. Long bitter on the tongue and very refreshing.

Nice IIPA! Bought in a bottle shop in Bruges, Belgium and drank from bottle. Very hoppy but nice flavor and balance. Well made beer.

A collaboration between Belgian bad boys De Struise and 3 Floyds. A very hoppy IPA, not at all typical for Belgian beers. Murky amber with a light white head. Paying homage to Belgian roots with a thick caramelised aroma with hints of lambic sourness. The hops hit the palette first, folowed by warm caramel and an epic bitter after taste. Slow drinking. Special mention for the label design, which shows an angry silverback wearing a shark for pants, with all that entails (pun intended).

Caramel gold color, with huge, dense head with amazing retention. Beautiful lacing. Aroma is honeysuckle and peaches, very much like a spring garden. Taste is much the same with some bitter hoppiness for balance. Quite delicious. Definitely something special.

33cl bottle. Red/brown with big tanned head. Nose : Very fruity with strong herbal and hoppy aromas. Small notes of coffee. Grapefruit or pomelo zest. Sip ; Oily with a medium density and low but existing carbonation. The taste is like a coffee mixed with grapefruit sorbet. Some grainy notes. Overal it’s a really enjoyable brew and it’s about time we had some IPA’s in Belgium.

Bottle shared with and courtesy of Crazy Urbain - thanks dude! This is a great IPA - starts slightly sweet with caramel tones then punches you in the mouth with the hops. Hides the 9% well. This was significantly better than the first taste at BBF 2011 - maybe it’s had time to mature?
