I like the picture on the bottle. Dark brown pour. Big head with decent retention. Mid body. Caramel up front, some raisin with slight citrus and a dry hoppy finish. Good Belgian IPA with all of that potent flavour that you expect from Struise.

Bottle from Vinens Verden. Pours hazy amber with a creamy very longlasting beige head. Beautiful curtains. This beer is truly hoppy! Loads of resin and grapefruit. Notes of spruce, grass and caramel. The flavour is hoppy and sweet but it mixes quite well. Grass, resin, spruce and grapefruit. Sweet malty and highly resin finish. Creamy texture.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 tmongoose (668) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - APR 29, 2013
shared bottled poured a dark cloudy orange color with white head. initial aroma is big citrus hop and booze. not quite an oily texture but does leave decent lacing on the glass. i honestly thought the flavor would be ultra bitter and i was very suprised as to how smooth this was. this is a bit warm but i get strong citrus and floral hops leaning more towards the floral. there is almost a thickness to the flavor that coats the tongue. this is a heavy bodied beer that will boost your senses. thanks for the share M.

18-JUN-2012, draft @Un Mare di Birra.
Brown with orange hue and a fine tan head.
Hoppy aroma with exotic fruits and grape fruit.
Taste is much more malty with caramel and loads of fruits. Finish is hoppy bitter. Not the most bitter IIPA I have had, but I like the high malt presence.
Had long discussions with Urban about this one:-)
...and thx for brewing such a fine "BALANCED" brew:-)
