Got a bottle from user joes as part of a debt thing he owed me. Shared it with benzai. I don’t think this is a nice way to thank someone for a service he provided ;) This beer really wasn’t my taste. It’s so very sour. Very acidic. To me, this one was even more sour then the Cantillon Kriek. Too much for me to handle.

Fairly nice color, but bad smell. Smells like some kind of chemical cleaning agent. Taste is sour and unbalanced.

2009 Vintage bottle@Kulminator: pours dark red/bordeaux with weird off pink, plaster-like pink head, smells like watery tart cherries & wet feet, taste is off-tasting struiselisis with watery tart jam & rotting cherries, slightly sour with an acidic finish, musty wood, light body & flat, ok but in the end not a very good blend or a good example of its style

Thanks Darkguardian for sharing this at Ryan’s.
Sweet cherries, a bit of wood, minor lactic sourness, dominant acetic finish. Blah.

Bottled. Cloudy reddihs brown, almost no head. Tart cherry aroma. Medium bodied with quite intense flavour of bitterish cherry stars and tart cherries over a firm malt back bone. Hevily tanninic finish. Interesting and realy tasty

In short: An oaky cherry pie in a bottle with an acidic finish. Ok.
How: Bottle 330ml. Exact age unknown, probably about 1 year old. Given to me by reakt, thanks a lot Angelo
The look: Cloudy shining red body topped by a very small pink head
In long: Nose is lightly sour, some cherries, some phenols. The crisp and sweet malt base has the flavor of a crunchy pie crust. Add to that the cherry jelly flavor and you’ve got yourself a cherry pie, which is pretty much what this beer tastes like except for some oak and the rather acidic finish that I could have done without. Classified as a Sour Ale, I more or less agree, but that’s hard one to pigeonhole. This had some potential but to me the tart acidic finish ruined the experience. Oh well, this was a disappointment. But big boys like me don’t cry. We eat.

Sour aroma. Mainly sour taste with an aftertaste that is somewhat less sour than the smell. Further little palate.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Abio (1334) - Waasland, BELGIUM - OCT 3, 2010
Very dark bordeaux red, small pink head. Smell is very sour-cherish, caramel. Sweet spiced. Sour-fruity taste with some yeast comming up. Not bad, but it’s completly not my style of beer. Way to much sourness, to much cherish...

Bottled. Spicy, pitty cherry aroma, with some hibiscus, and an air of autobody shop. Nice balance of acids in the flavor, not puckeringly sour but definitely a good amount, with more cherry pit and cinnamon. A bit heavy.
