750 ML bottle Black with a large, 3 finger, dark tan head. Lots of AVB legs. Nose is oak, raspberry, port, charred malts, charred grains. Tart and sweet up front, lots of raspberries and port. SlightlySweet and roasty. Full bodied and very drinkable. Hides the 13% extremely well.

a bit o a gusher which gave me pause as this is an expensive ass beer. I was using what seemed like the most interesting of the damnations to see if any others are worth the $45 price tag. This was enjoyed, and if it was $10-12, Id go back, but its ridiculously overpriced for a beer that was quite good but nowhere near mind-blowing. Not sure if the sour/tart aspects were on purpose or not as I have no basis to compare. was expecting more sweet and decadent. may have been infected...who knows? But for $45 I aint trying again. almost like a sour stout, the blackberries and to a far lesser extent the port comes through nice. Id have liked it better more decadent and less astringent.

Bottle from Etre Gourmet. Pours pitch black with a big creamy tanned head. Lovely berry aroma, roasted malts, tar and liquorice, but the blackberries is the most distinct here. Smooth super creamy mouthfeel. Taste is well balanced, smooth black berries all the way, and all the liquorice I could ask for in a beer. Rating # 6000

Bottle. Dark cola. Blackberry jam aroma and initial taste. Something odd in the middle. A little too much carb or just an off feeling from the carb - hard to tell. Very good, but I expected more from this one.

Bottle. Dark purplish cola. Aroma is awesome blackberry jam. Taste adds some chocolate and chalky earthiness. Honestly, something seems a little off. Not sure if this inflected or something. Mouthfeel is a little more carbonated than I expected. Slightly disappointed, not because its bad but because I really expected something world class.

Pours black as tar with large mocha head. Heady oak, port, berry and roasty aromas - sensational. The taste is magnificent. Starts very sweet with port wine, treacle, dark chocolate, berry fruitiness. It then takes a twist as the oak and tannins kick in to give it a nice vinous dryness that really cuts right through the initial sweetness. The finish has a long roasty dryness with a light bitterness. Velvet smooth with a light spiciness dancing on the tongue. Simply magnificent.

The aroma assails the nostrils when the Black Damnation I is poured. A rich fog of deep hops with a bitterness that brings thoughts of tar pits and bygone ages permeates the atmosphere, branding itself in your memory before even a drop is tasted. The deep black stout beckons and you feel like you're staring into a artfully crafted abyssal painting, not just simply a beer. The first taste is simply beautiful. Rich flavours abound. Berries war with hops in a cataclysmic battle of flavours as barley and sugars lurk in the background. The final edge lingers, conjuring thoughts of a deeply bitter Shiraz cross-bred with the characteristic seriously complex Black Albert Stout. Frangimus

Thick mouthfeel. Port, chocolate covered berries, pretty boozy. Not as complex as the other black damnation's. Crazy lacing on my glass - yellow coated glass. ---Rated via Beer Buddy App
