75cl from Geers, transported it 8500km to Thailand and drank it at a swimming pool looking out on the sea at Koh Samui. Ofcourse this added to the (drama) aroma... and therefor taste. A narrative created by the taster is as equal as the story invented by the brewer. ;) This gem never disappoints. Sweet berry scent and bold roasty taste combined, this BBA is full bodied, has a beautiful lacing, malty fruits, slight hints of fruits, berries, framboise and slight soury aftertaste intertwined with the dark stark imperial stout body. One of my favorites! Definitely!

On tap at Schouskjelleren, june 28th 2014. Full black body with a thick brown head. Heavily roasted aroma with blackberries and cocoa. Taste is strong sweet blackberries, coffee, dark chocolate, light peppery with a nice roasty bitter palate and finish. Light tartness. An excellent enjoyable beer!

750 ml bottle shared with Joshi and Steve. Pours a dark cola brown color with a medium sized beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, smoked malt, blackberry especially toward the finish, port barrel, wood, molasses, pretty solid drinking beer especially for the abv.

Bottle... This beer rocks!… Pours new moon-black with a mid-sized, creamy, cappuccino head. Great retention. The bouquet is a spectacular collection of dark berries and dark chocolate with a splash of vinous, medium-dry sherry. Full-bodied with a fatty mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. The flavor is a mélange of burnt malts, dark berries, barely-sweetened fudge and a nice SweeTart component. Finishes roasty, bitter and chocolaty with a liberal ration of warm, boozy alcohol. Thanks so much to darkguardian for delivering this intriguing, world class delight!

At Borefts Beer Festival 2013. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of licorice and roasted malt aroma with fruity and ashy notes. Sweet licorice and dried fruit flavour with a touch of white sugar

Tap. Intense fruitiness. The aroma bristles with dark fruits and dark chocolate. Strong, slightly acidic and bitter flavour. Extremely long and complex finish. Wow!

Tasty imperial stout, with sweet notes of dark fruits, especially dark berries. Good beer.

Draught at Lord Hobo, 4/6/14
This tasted almost exactly alike the Cuvee Delphine. Almost to a t. Would certainly have identified this as the same beer, in a blind tasting. Even looking for the blackberries, I had to convince myself I was tasting them. The blackberry, if there, is just bitter, dry and tart acid. No fruitiness left at this point, which would make sense if this stuff is older, which it certainly tasted to be. That same very prominent note of bitter, dark, vinous roast seems to block any of the blackberry from coming through, really. Other than that, this was in the same exact shape. Low in carbonation, moderately sweet and chocolatey, but with enough bitter, almost tannic astringency to balance. The barrels are obviously quite old, as little of the whiskey flavor came through in the cuvee and little port flavor comes through here, which is fine with me.
