On tap at Borefts 2013. Black with a good sized chocolate head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is chocolate, blackberry, dates, fig. Full bodied, syrupy mouthfeel, bittersweet on the palate with a slightly harsh medicinal finish. Taste is blackberry, liquorice, chocolate, dates, molasses. Very nice but invokes some memories of cough syrup.

Draft @ Borefts 2013. Happy to try this treat. Pours a pitch black beer with with a thick, vast brown head on top. Aroma is faintly roasted, red fruits, slightly boozy and some madeira notes. Flavor is sweet and alcoholic, in a good way, with loads of whisky notes and boozyness. Big on the molasses, very long sweet and sticky finish. Epic brew!!

Draft at uber. Pours jet black with a loose and creamy tan head. Big rich roasty nose with sweet juicy dark berry notes woven in. Dense creamy heavy body with soft carb. Roasty chocolatey coffee mid palate with juicy berry notes dominating. Tannins to the berry, almost a vinous quality. Lobg sweet dark roasty finish. Luscious and delectable.

Had this on tap at GBD (Golden Brown Delicious) in DC. Poured a dark, black color with a small tan head. Aroma was notes of bitter coffee and malts, fruit notes. Flavor was pretty fruity, with plenty of bitter malts. Pretty nice, port wine character comes out in this one. Alcohol is masked so well, you may as well think you’re drinking a sessionable beer - scary. Quite nice!

Pours an opaque black on tap with bubbly brown ring of lacy head. Aroma is strong roasted malt and dark fruits, with hints of chocolate and Belgian yeast. Taste follows with a definite fresh fruit quality that adds to more sweet chocolate notes. A little thin, but the booze is so well hidden it drinks like a sweet stout. This is amazing!

Mooie donkerbruine kleur met een volle bruine kraag. Ruikt een volle koffie en vanille geur. Smaakt erg goed. Heeft iets fruitigs en kers. Volle koffie smaak en een goede brandende alchol nasmaak.
