Draft at Borefts 2013. Pours pitch black with a medium brown head. Aroma has tar, licorice, roasted malts and black berries. Taste has roasted malts, some vanilla, berries, maybe even some sourness from the berries. Thick body with a soft to medium carbonation. Nice!

Borefts 2013 - Quite a herbal, fragrant aroma. It’s thick and sweet. Flavour has some cocoa, whiskey and a lasting taste of jam.

Sampled @ Borefts 2013 day 2. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized dark brown head. Smell and taste malts, roasted malts, lightly coffee, dark chocolate and nicely bitter. Thick and oily texture, full body, medium carbonation. Nice!

black, thin brown head to a ring fast. Sweet nose is heavy berry, sickly diary and manure contrast, with warmth sweet fruit dominates thankfully. Flavor shows more roast with berry grittiness, more balance than expected. Slick oily end, only light booze but more sugary grit. Better than expected, worse than everything it followed. Couldn’t finish a glass of this.

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2013 @Borefts 2013 zwart met volle bruine kraag, blijft mooi kleven aan de rand aroma: chocolade, mocca, gebrande mouten, fruitig smaken: redelijk zoet, zacht, koffie, donker fruit, iets van whisky, fruitigheid licht, romig, goede volle body, afdronk zoet, lekker zacht, prima bier ! 15-11-2013 Antwaerps Bierhuyske, 2e tasting, bier voor mij iets te koud, daardoor iets minder fruitig, edoch wederom lekker 3.4

Tap at Borefts ’13. Black on the body with a thin beige head sitting on top. Average retention with a medium thick lacing left on the glass. Lighty frutiy aroma with roasted malts and chocolate. Taste has a light sourness but it is overpowered by a roasted malts bitterness. Fruits, cognaq and coffee on the aftertaste. Really thick on the body with good carbonation and lightly sticky palate. Overall very good, I should have gotten another glass of this.
