4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
The first ’offspring’ of Black Damnation, basically a coffee stout because macerated on Colombian coffee beans. Thick beige head, colour black. Very powerful coffee aroma, wood, raisins, chocolate and everything else one can find in Black Damnation. Syrupy, sweetish taste, very thick and oily mouthfeel, towards the end increasingly coffee-like, roasted and dry, very long and complex finish. One of the most coffee-like coffee stouts I ever had, perhaps just a bit much.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
15cl on tap at the brewery. Pours a deep brown colour with a thin brown head. Aroma is liquorice, coffee, chocolate and spicy. Soft to average carbonation and full body. Taste is suave with a well done balance between bitter and sweetness. Overall, almost perfectly balanced like eating a dark chocolate from the tropics.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Small sample from bottle @ Zeebra II. Pours pitch black with a ring tan head. Aroma has dark chocolate, mocha, some tartness and berries. Taste has quite some mocha, dark chocolate, roaste malts and a soft tartness. Full body and soft to medium carbo. Nice, but would have been better if it wasn’t infected.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
@zebf 2014 - Quite a flat pour. Slight tartness in aroma points to this one being slightly off. Flavour has bitter roasted malts with some cocoa and coffee. Slight vinous tartness in the background.
